As a leading technology contractor, our company partnered with a governmental entity to develop SignBridge AI, an advanced digital solution designed to enhance accessibility and inclusivity for Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities. SignBridge AI provides instant translation of sign language into speech or text, as well as converting spoken or written responses back into clear and understandable sign language delivered by a digital avatar or text. The platform supports a variety of devices, including smartphones, tablets, and desktop browsers, making it ideal for diverse public service environments such as healthcare, education, and customer support.

Solution
We implemented an optimized visual recognition pipeline combined with language modeling to interpret and translate sign language efficiently. Responses from hearing individuals are translated into sign language performed by a digital avatar designed for precise and expressive communication without overpromising realism. The solution integrates adaptive streaming technology for dependable performance across varying network conditions and offers fully compliant data handling with optional on-device processing.
